Q. What is Xylotene?
You may be surprised to know that Xylotene is a blend of pure xylose and xylitol, with no additives. These are natural sugars that are lacking in the modern diet, but are widely available in nature. Unfortunately our civilised life has virtually eliminated them from our diet. Unlike chimpanzees and other apes, we don't tend to chew the bark of trees - one of the richest sources of d-xylose. Nor do we eat a huge variety of leaves, flowers, roots, fungi and and berries, which would ensure a good supply of xylitol.
